Who We Are

Kalpa Academy “Center for Governance and Sustainable Development” is a profit-not-sharing organization registered, under the Company Registrar’s Office of Government of Nepal, on Jestha 24, 2076 B.S. (June 7, 2019 A.D.). The main office of Kalpa is located at Putalisadak, Ward No. 29 of Kathmandu Metropolis of Kathmandu district. Dedicated to the broad cause of translating into practice the values of education, governance and sustainability, Kalpa is a non-profit, service-oriented organization. It seeks to serve Nepali society, citizens and Nepali institutions through its programmes focused on creating positive, creative and enabling environment. The noble values of education, governance, sustainability and partnership constitute the guiding philosophy of Kalpa.

Vision

Kalpa has a vision of contributing positively to the broad cause of developing Nepal in a sustainable way and empowering Nepali human resources with life-related skills and knowledge.

Mission

The mission of Kalpa is to engage in programmes designed to invigorate the system of governance, institute a culture of sustainability in life, work, business and other sectors through education, constructive use of Information and Communication Technology ICT and partnership.

Values

The values, the driving force for Kalpa, are:

Educating citizens for empowerment, ability to change, adjust and create with perspectives of past, present and future generations.
Strengthening the eight pillars of good governance: participation, rule of law, transparency, responsiveness, accountability, equity/inclusiveness, consensus orientation and effectiveness/efficiency.
Promoting culture of sustainability for safeguarding humanity, human life, facilitating people to remain healthy, happy and be able to develop personality, guaranteeing equality, justice and peace for all, using labour decently, preserving mother earth and encourage partnership.
Pursuing the spirit of team work, mutual sharing and collective benefit.
